Hair: Brown. Straight, reaches her shoulders.
Height: 5’5

Appearance: As a young girl Kitty practiced ballet and ice skating, so naturally she is quite graceful and light as she walks and handles herself. Her phasing abilities also give her an extra amount of grace to her walking. Kitty’s posture is almost perfect and she stands and sits with an erect back and she doesn’t really have any back problems because of it. When it comes to clothing Kitty generally wears more ‘normal’ outfits. Jeans and t-shirts are her favorite, but she doesn’t mind wearing a dress or a skirt to dress up. Kitty’s wardrobe also consists of a few pairs of Chuck Taylor’s in a couple of different colors and she also has a few pairs of average tennis shoes and high heels. Kitty’s not one for a lot of makeup, but she does tend to wear mascara, eyeliner, and occasionally a light eye shadow.

Abilities
Powers: Shadowcat has the ability to make herself intangible by separating the molecules that compose her body to put her into an intangible state. When she is intangible nothing can touch her and everything will pass through her body like there is nothing in there. By making herself intangible, Kitty can phase through any solid object seamlessly. Basically, Kitty’s ability could be called the ability to walk through walls and the like. Kitty is also able to extend her powers onto anyone she makes physical contact with and will be able to take them through walls or to protect them by enabling weapons and bullets to pass through their bodies. While in her intangible state kitty can make the air around her virtually solid and can do a form of ‘air walking’. Kitty's abilities also give her an extra quality. If she were to phase through an electronic device her phasing would short it out virtually destroy the insides of the device, rendering it useless.
Power Flaws: Kitty’s main flaw would be the fact that she cannot breathe while phasing through a solid object. If she were to breathe, Kitty’s abilities would deactivate and she would solidify her body and she would die. However, if she just stays in an intangible state without passing through objects she is capable of breathing. The thickness of what she phases through also contributes to her abilities. The thicker the object is the longer it takes and the harder it is to push through the other side. When taking someone with her, Kitty has to concentrate harder to bring the person with her. The larger the person is the more concentration it takes to bring them along. At the current place in time Kitty could take an anyone the size of an average teenage boy or smaller with her. Air walking is Kitty’s newest ‘ability’ and she is still having trouble managing it. The highest she can go currently is 20 feet of the ground and she can keep that height for approximately ten minutes before getting tired.

Thoughts on The Cure: “The cure is a pretty outrageous concept. I mean, it’s cool or whatever because the mutants who are constantly ostracized or persecuted could gain freedom, and the ones who were proud to keep their powers could do just that. So the overall idea is pretty great. But then the government comes in and starts shooting mutants with cure darts and basically forces them to take the cure. So, I don’t really agree with it, and no, I wouldn’t get it personally. But that’s why I’m with the X-Men. We’re just trying to stand up for what’s right, but we’re not trying to go all megalomaniac style like Magneto and his cronies”

Overall Personality:Kitty is generally upbeat and happy but she is extremely intelligent. Kitty loves to have fun and is overall a friendly young woman. She likes hanging out with friends and going shopping just like other teenage girls her age. However, Kitty’s education comes first. Kitty is the type of girl that studies constantly and has her assignments done almost immediately. Kitty has a high IQ, but she's not quite at genius level, but she is still pretty smart. Some people find Kitty a little standoffish because she will most likely turn down a hang out session to finish a homework assignment or to work out in the Danger Room, but she really isn’t like that at all.
Kitty is one of the youngest X-Men, and she takes that role very seriously. When it comes to the team it’s all business and no pleasure. As stated before, Kitty is the youngest and this forces her to strive for greatness and to prove to the rest of the team that she can be a part of the team. Despite her age, Kitty is quite mature and responsible and she takes pride in both of those attributes. She likes being able to be trusted and she enjoys having responsibility placed upon her. At times she can be somewhat of a brown noser, but it’s not a major personality trait.

Birthplace:Deerfield, Illinois
Parents: Carmen Pryde (Father), Theresa ‘Terry’ Pryde (Mother)

Spouse/Partner: N/A

Other Relations: Samuel Prideman (Grandfather, Deceased)
Overall History:Kitty Pryde was born to Carmen and Terry Pryde in Deerfield, Illinois. Kitty’s parents knew that she was special at her birth, but they didn’t know just how special Kitty really was. Over the years of Kitty’s childhood she was enrolled into ballet classes when she was three and then when she turned ten she was enrolled into ice skating classes. Kitty was always a smart child and excelled quickly in all of her classes. Growing up Kitty didn’t make a whole lot of friends because she was either busy with school or extracurricular classes. Due to this Kitty was almost constantly made fun of other girls her age, she was also made fun of because she is a Jew.
When Kitty turned thirteen, that’s when everything changed. Kitty started experiencing extremely painful migraines that would leave her incapacitated for hours at a time. One night while she tried to sleep one of her migraines off her mutant ability of phasing. She slipped through her bed and found herself in the basement of her home. Terrified, she started screaming and her parents found her downstairs. At first they didn’t believe her until they found her blanket and pillow half stuck in the ceiling. Not knowing what to do, the Prydes just decided to try and deal with the problem one day at a time.
Over the next couple years Kitty learned how to somewhat control her abilities and was able to teach herself how to turn them off and on, but she still felt weird about having these powers. Kitty and her parents heard on the news about mutants and the attack at the Statue of Liberty, but to Kitty that was worlds away from her. But then there was the kidnapping of Professor Xavier and him using Dark Cerebro. At the time Kitty was fifteen and when the professor started using Dark Cerebro it felt like her brain was going to explode until the X-Men swooped in and saved the day. Shortly after these events The X-Men found Kitty and she joined their school and was placed on the Junior X-Men team.
But then shit got real yet again. The cure was announced as a viable option during her short stay at the school. Magneto started going on his rampage and the Phoenix had made an appearance and killed both Cyclops and Professor Xavier. After this there was the battle at Alcatraz that Kitty was able to fight at. The young mutant was extremely scared and unsure of herself, but with the reassurance of Wolverine she was able to fight effectively. During the battle Kitty escaped into the Cure facility on Alcatraz to save Jimmy, but she was followed by the Juggernaut. Once inside Kitty found the young man and was able to help him escape the facility. After the battle, Kitty returned to New York to Xavier’s funeral where she was quite broken up. A couple days after the funeral Storm and Wolverine asked Kitty if she wanted to be part of the X-Men and the young teen greatly accepted. It has been a year and Kitty is running around the institute happy as a clam. It’s her senior year of high school, so she’s studying extremely hard and filling out college applications, but in the end she knows she has to stay close so she can help the X-Men as it’s part of her duties.

Ray Summers was in serious need of a long deserved break. Thing had become quite hectic yet again at the Xavier Institute. But that seemed to be the norm. Things were never really calm at the Xavier Institute, and it seemed that there was always some form of drama bubbling beneath the surface. Since joining up with this realities X-Men Ray was put in the Junior X-Men and she participated in almost daily Danger Room sessions. Not only was she physically performing her ass off, but she was also juggling her college classes and her shreds of a social life. Not to mention the recent discovery of her automobile fetish... So when Ray found an empty hole in her schedule her light green eyes lit up and she scrambled to leave the institute before she was thrown into an impromptu DR session.
Ray entered the garage wearing a pair of skinny jeans and a light green tank top with a black cardigan sweater hanging off her body. She walked up to her shiny red motorcycle and ran her hand along it before grabbing her helmet and placing it on her head. Rachel situated herself on her motorcycle and turned on the engine which roared with life. Within a few moments Ray opened the garage door and exited the garage and the mansion grounds. Where she was going, she didn't really know but it was good to get away from the Xavier Institute for a few hours.
Ray headed towards Manhattan once she remembered that there was a fantastic coffee shop somewhere in the area and it was quite delicious. Way better than Starbucks and most other major coffee chains. the traffic was hell once she got closer to the city, so after an extra twenty minutes she finally found herself an empty parking space to slide her bike into. The red headed mutant got off her bike as she took off her helmet and placed it on the seat of her bike. She started to walk away until she caught a glimpse of herself in her side mirror. Ugh. Helmet hair. Ray sighed as she shook her head side in an attempt to give herself a windswept look, but it wasn't working out too well. After a few minutes of fighting with her ginger mane she was able to straighten it out and make herself look presentable before she started walking down the sidewalk.
Within a few minutes she found and entered her chosen coffee shop and ordered a vanilla something or other. The little coffee shop was quite crowded and there was an empty table outside that Ray was going to grab once she received her coffee. The waitress called her name and gave Ray her drink and she exited the little cafe and headed towards her empty table. Ray was about to set her drink down on the small table when someone reached the table just as she did. She giggled nervously and looked down at the table and back up at the person. "Uh...So. This might be really weird, but would you mind sharing the table?"
