Abilities
Powers: When Rogue touches someone skin on skin, their lifeforce and abilities become absorbed into her. When she touches a mutant, their powers become hers for a short time. Rogue's power is not all easy and care free. The psyches of the people, or part of them, live on inside Rogue's head, and sometimes get so loud to the point where she's almost driven insane. If she holds on too long, she can absorb the personalities and psyches and powers permanently.
Power Flaws: Rogue is very, very vulnerable to long distance attacks. Make sure she can't touch you and her power is moot. If she keeps the contact for too long, she can permanently absorb the psyche and kill the victim. The fragments of the psyches are a liability in themselves, sometimes shouting inside her mind. Another major drawback is that she can't ever physically touch another person skin to skin.
Psyches she contains:
Magneto//Erik Lensherr
Wolverine//James Howlett
Pyro//John Allerdyce
Iceman//Bobby Drake
Weapons: None
Past Affiliations: None
Current Affiliations: X-Men
Thoughts on The Cure: I'm not sure what to think anymore. I mean, I used to think it was a blessing, but now I think it's more of a curse then anything. I mean, I don't even feel like me anymore because I'd taken it. It's just a way out of problems that we've got for a reason or not, and I see that now.

Obsessions:
Though she tries not to, Rogue obsesses over her power, and the psyches in her head, though she wants to simply ignore them. Overall Personality:Can come off as shy, but can hold her own in a battle. She is also occasionally outgoing and smart alecky. Rogue is at times mentally fragile and easy to manipulate. She is also strong willed, often acomplishing something if she sets her mind to it. And while she is one of the most kind people at the mansion, if you cross her or someone she cares about, she'll turn on you in an instant. While Rogue can be shy, she can also defend herself and/or get her point across. She tries to be kind to everyone, but sometimes, she can't be.
Rogue can often appear cold and sarcastic but this is mainly due to the fact that Rogue likes to keep people at a distance due to her untameable and lethal draining mutation, but underneath she cares deeply for those around her and her apparent rudeness is only used to keep others safe from her mutation
Rogue is also very motherly towards hurt people or people she thinks needs some "southern comforts", and tends to always be there with a kind word or a shoulder to give someone to cry on. But even though she puts on an air of calmness, she doesn't really have that calmness all the time. Rogue, true to her codename, wears a mask and hides what she's really feeling.
Rogue often feels lonely, even when she is surrounded by people. Her lack of human intimacy often makes her feel this way, and she has learned to deal with it, and knows she can't let life pass her by because of her power, so she can, at times, come off as headstrong. (which she is, it's just not all outward.)
While having a quiet lilt, Rogue is, at her core, a smart ass. She posses a dark side, like most people do, and this comes out when she angry. When she is angry, Rogue becomes completely different from her normal personality, and is vengeful and cold, doing anything to get revenge or her hands on the person who her anger is centered at.
She’s, in essence, a very rebellious, cynical, and sarcastic girl with an attitude to back it up, having grown up both physically and emotionally isolated from people, thanks to her powers. But this behavior is often a mask for how insecure she truly is. The memories her powers have inadvertently absorbed into her head also put additional strain on her emotional stability. Thanks to her history around others, the southern belle also has difficulty trusting others. There may be several select people in her life that she allows some wiggle room to, but overall she is hesitant to display such confidant belief in anyone. Not all is so dark and gloomy with the somewhat sullen girl, however. Rogue frequently displays her attitude first and foremost, but secretly she is consumed by the desire to get close to others. For her allies, she is a reliable and loyal fighter, using any ability she can acquire against their common enemies.
History
Birthplace: Meridian, Missisippi
Parents: John and Anna D'Ancanto
Siblings: None
Spouse/Partner: None
Children: None
Other Relations: Friends with Wolverine (daughter/father relationship)
Overall History:
Marie was born in Meridian, Missisipi to John and Anna D'Acanto. Meridian's like any other relatively small town in the South, and is most notable for being the birthplace of Hayley Williams, singer of the band Paramore. For most of her life, she did what most typical girl did; ent to school, hung out with friends, but when she was fifteen her grandfather died and Anna Marie became a bit withdrawn. Not to where she never went out, but much less then she used to.
At seventeen, Marie's power manifested when she kissed her current boyfriend at the time, Cody. She put him a coma for nearly three weeks. She adopted her new persona, Rogue, and walked into a bar, where she witnessed Wolverine get into an altercation.
She convinced him to give her a ride in his car, and they were later saved by Storm and Cyclops, and brought to Xavier's school. Rogue became a student there and developed a crush on Bobby, whose power is to turn things into or physically create ice.
After Mystique, in guise of Bobby, tells her that Xavier is mad at her for a previous incident in which she took Wolverine's powers, she flees, and is later found by Wolverine, and they both end up captured by Magneto. Magneto later hooks her up to a machine and transfers his power to her forcefully, and she is rescued by Wolverine again, but not before the permanent white streaks in her hair are caused.
When the mansion was raided, Rogue escaped along with Pyro, Iceman, and Wolverine, meeting up with Nightcrawler, Storm and Jean. She was later saved from falling to her death by Nightcrawler.
When the cure was introduced, Rogue faced a dillemma; stay as she was, or be normal and give up her powers. Not going to give in at first, she witnessed Bobby and Kitty Pryde kissing, and, thinking it would bring him back to her, she took it. But it didn't and she was left alone, the cure slowly fading away. She recently started to experience surges of her power returning.

Age: 16
RP Experience: Three Years
Characters: None
Sample RP:
Rogue could feel them. All the people inside her mind, all the psyches. Jean. Kitty. Mystique, Wolverine, Lance, Wanda, Toad. Kurt...so many of them, she had to fight to keep them down.
Walking down the streets of New York, she pulled up her gloves more. She was wearing a black tanktop and tight black jeans. Over this she usually wore her long trenchcoat, but it was a slightly warmer night, so she'd just worn a green hoodie that left her shoulders bare, the sleeves of the hoodie tucked into her elbow length black gloves. Bumping into a random person, she said "Ah'm sorry" and only got a harsh look back, to which she scoffed.
Continuing her walk, Rogue felt her arm suddenly get caught on something, then get yanked back. With the yanking, she felt the fabric of her hoodie's right sleeve tear and rip off, taking the glove with it. "God damn it." she said, ignoring the stares shew was getting as she stuffed the sleeve and glove in her pocket. Keeping her right arm to herself, she kept walking, not putting the glove back on. It'd look stupid.
A few minutes later, she felt the one persona she hated. Magneto. His pathetic attempt to use her and claim the glory was forever a sore spot in her mind. Yet, it didn't ever cover the hurt Mystique had left her with. Nothing ever could.
"You are nothing. Nothing. Insignificant." his voice sounded in her mind.
Then, as if Magneto had riled them, the screaming began. "No...no....NO!" she screamed, clutching the sides of her head, then. She brought the hands to her ears as if clutching her ears closed would shut them up. No, they still screamed.
"You bitch." Pyro. Her old friend.
She grunted, loudly, as she came to a secluded part of the street. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!" she shouted, her head turned towards the sky, eyes bloodshot and red as she felt them starting to take over.
