Now there's no place else, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Teagan had an office. A small room surrounded by dark wood with tall looming windows. A room that intimidated students upon entering. A room that she didn't really go into unless she had too. And as a student councilor that didn't happen very often. Most of her day was spent talking to students. Listening to their problems or tutoring them (another job she had at the school) all the while trying to block out the overwhelming emotions that they had. Teenagers were just big bags of exploding emotions and her empathy was difficult to tone down in those situations. These moments though, when she sat alone on the patio with no one around her. Where for once every emotion she felt was hers and hers alone. She felt no one else's and no one else gave her theirs. This moments were pure bliss. Teagan's own personal serenity. Even if they weren't the happiest of thoughts they were still her own feelings on them. Marcus was still bothering her. To be fair Marcus was always bothering her but it was getting to a whole new creepy stalker level she couldn't handle. And Kevin was not happy about it. Kevin was the type of guy you didn't normally mess with. A big guy with dark eyes and a face set in an unhappy scowl. Not to mention he was a bouncer. And a mutant. As well as having grown up with neighbor boys flirting with his baby sister. It was likely her mother was going to give her a call about Kevin beating the shit out of Marcus and asking her daughter why she can't just get married to Marcus again. A conversation the girl was not going to have. But she wasn't having it now and she let it float away from her mind with the wind. Something she seemed to be doing more and more of lately. Teagan wasn't quite sure how long she had been sitting there. It could've been minutes. Or hours. Time all seemed to pass the same way here and Teagan refused to check the time on her cell phone, lest she break the magical calmness overwhelming her. But her attentions were drew to the sound of approaching footsteps. She didn't turn, nor did she want to. "Can I help you?" she called, directing it towards the approaching party. It was either a teacher telling her something to be done. A student needing her help, either emotionally or academically. Or a stray wanderer who hadn't realized she was there. Anyways though it was bound to be interesting.

Kitty Pryde was a high school senior, a dancer, and an X-Man. Rather, an X-Woman. But that was a minor detail. But Kitty rarely had time to be just a normal teenage girl. But who really had that kind of time when they were running around saving the world by running through walls? Exactly. No one. It was just another day at the institute. Kitty woke up early that morning to work out. Then she rushed to shower then down to breakfast and then sat through a day full of lectures.
After class Kitty went up to her room and flopped onto her bed only to see that her phone was buzzing with a phone call from her mother who lived in Illinois. Kitty answered cheerfully and spoke to her mother for a few minutes, then hung up after checking to see how her only daughter was coming along. Kitty rolled over onto her back and looked up at the ceiling for a few minutes before she decided that she needed some fresh air and to get out of the mansion and just relax.
Hopping off of her bed she grabbed her laptop and pushed it into her bag before slinging it over her shoulder and exiting her room. Hm...Where was she going to go? The gardens were nice but too far away for wi-fi, and the pool was nice too but the danger of dropping her laptop into the pool scared her too much. The patio would be nice. Close to the mansion, far way from rambunctious children, and in range of the wi-fi connection. Ding! We have a winner.
Kitty made her way to the patio the old fashioned way, walking through doors and such. Yes, she could have phased, but she worried about her computer. She could take the bag phasing with her, but if it were to accidentally go through Kitty's body her computer would be fried, and that just wasn't okay.
Moments later she made it to the patio door and opened it casually and stepped out and sat Teagan sitting in the chair appreciating the scenery. Kitty was about to turn around and leave but then Teagan called out, asking if she could help Kitty. Kitty reached up a hand and scratched the back of her head. "Well, I was just going to sit out here and surf the web and stuff. Is that okay? I can find somewhere else to go if you wanna be alone..."

I could use the company of someone as happy as you." Kitty was someone that Teagan tried to be around when in an unhappy state. Her personality was infectious even without the help of her empathy and even when turned down low she still got a burst that was welcomed. "You're completely welcome to come join me. Though I may bug you about your school work. But that's my job as an adult right?" Teagan knew she wasn't one of the students and she didn't try to act like it. She wasn't going out and buying them booze or trying to be their friends. But she wanted them to feel comfortable in her company. Like she was someone they could come to and trust. And to do that she needed to talk to them outside of school occasionally while still solidifying that she was in fact an adult. And generally the students took it well. But there was no students company she enjoyed more than Kitty Pryde's.
